Job Description:

Sample collection from various wards and OPD sample collection room.
2. Seeing that the requisition form is duly filled.
3. Performing of urgent tests first on return to the department.
4. Making slides and smears and staining them where necessary.
5. Checking of results of tests with on-line entries of results.
6. Consulting with supervisors/consultants in case of abnormal results.
7. Doing Critical Call outs and reflex testing as per policies.
8. Ensure observance of bio-medical waste disposal procedures and follow universal
9. Maintaining important documentation.
10. Recording of samples received from various departments and OPD.
11. Ensuring timely dispatch of reports.
12. Daily maintenance of equipment.
13. Maintaining optimum levels of stock.
14. Working in collaboration with all staff in the department and organization

Minimum Skills Set Required:

1. Minimum 3 years experience required for Path Lab technician.
2.Applicants aspiring for Blood Bank Technician position must have 1 year of experience with FDA Certificate.
3. Proficient in all basic laboratory tests in haematology, biochemistry, microbiology, clinical pathology and quality assurance in laboratories.
4. Proficient in phlebotomy
5. Experience in histopathology will be beneficial to the organization
