Educational and other qualification required : 1. Master�s Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation Science from a recognized University with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of �B� in the UGC 7 point scale and consistently good academic record. 2. At least thirteen years� experience as a Deputy Librarian in a University library or eighteen years� experience as a college Librarian 3. Minimum API Score as specified in UGC Regulations. 4. Evidence of innovative library service and organization of published work. Or Deputy Librarian having completed three years of service in AGP of Rs. 9000/- and otherwise eligible as per the API scoring system and PBAS methodology developed in UGC Regulation 2010 and having with a Ph.D. qualification shall also be eligible.
Desirable : A M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree in Library Science/ Information Science/ Documentation/ Archives and manuscript-keeping
Age limit : Preferably below 55 Years.
