CBSE 12th results are to be declared shortly, though not today. According to the speculations, the results were to be released today, but in a conversation with India Today, the officials confirmed that they will not be announced today. They might be announced tomorrow i.e. May 27 or day after tomorrow i.e. May 28. The candidates are required to keep a check on the official website for updates.
This year, the examinations were held in the month of March and were extended till April 25 due to Lok Sabha elections. Dates of some exams were also revised.
From tricity, around 15,000 students appeared in Class 12 exams. Over 10 lakh students, including 6,03,064 boys and 4,26,810 girls, had registered for the examination this year. This has shown an overall increase of 9.32% over last year when the total number of candidates who had registered for the Class 12 board exams was 9,42,035.
CBSE has also begun their counseling sessions for parents and students who are worried about their education future and need some guidance. The students from any part of the country can dial a toll free number 1800 11 8004 and drop a line with operator for general queries related to result or with counselors for one to one telephonic counseling from 8 am up to 10 pm till June 10.
