Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has invited applications for the posts of Assistant Professor, Joint Director, Deputy Director and Assistant Director. The posts are under Group A and of a regular and permanent nature. Selected candidates may be posted anywhere in India or outside India. The last day for online application is February 28, 2014.
1. Assistant Professor and Joint Director: 2 posts
Salary: PB-3 Rs 15,600- 39,100 + GP Rs 7,600
Eligibility: Candidate should have a Masters Degree in any discipline with at least 55 per cent marks or its equivalent from a recognised University/Institute, and also have cleared NET/SLET or equivalent or have a Doctorate Degree and/or Academic work/publication. Maximum age should not be above 45 years.
Experience: Minimum of total 6 years experience in PB 3 with GP 6,600 or equivalent.
2. Assistant Professor and Deputy Director: 1 post
Salary: PB-3 Rs 15,600 + 39,100 + GP Rs 6600
Eligibility: Candidate should have a Masters Degree in any discipline with at least 55 per cent marks or its equivalent from a recognised University/Institute, and also have cleared NET/SLET or equivalent or have a Doctorate Degree and/or Academic work/publication. Maximum age should not be above 40 years.
Experience: Minimum of 6 years relevant experience in PB 3 with GP 5,400 or equivalent.
3. Assistant Professor and Assistant Director: 21 posts
Salary: PB-3 Rs 15,600 + 39,100 + GP Rs 5400
Eligibility: Candidate should have a Masters Degree in any discipline with at least 55 per cent marks or its equivalent from a recognised University/Institute, and also have cleared NET/SLET or equivalent or have a Doctorate Degree and/or Academic work/publication. Maximum age should not be above 35 years.
4. Deputy Director (Training): 1 post
Salary: PB-3 Rs 15,600 + 39100 + GP Rs. 6600/-
Eligibility: Candidate should have a Masters Degree in any discipline with at least 55 per cent marks or its equivalent from a recognised University/Institute, and also have cleared NET/SLET or equivalent or have a Doctorate Degree. Maximum age should not be above 40 years.
Experience: Candidate should have held analogous post on regular basis with requisite qualifications or have 6 years service experience in the pay scale of Rs 15,600 - 39,100 + Rs 5,400 or equivalent.
5. Deputy Director (Assessment and Evaluation): 1 post
Salary: PB-3 Rs 15,600 + 39,100 + GP Rs 6,600
Eligibility: Candidate should have a Masters Degree in any discipline with at least 55 per cent marks or its equivalent from a recognised University/Institute, and also have cleared NET/SLET or equivalent or have a Doctorate Degree. Maximum age should not be above 40 years.
Experience: Candidate should have held analogous post on regular basis with requisite qualifications or have 6 years service experience in the pay scale of Rs 15,600 - 39,100 + Rs 5,400 or equivalent
6. Assistant Director (Assessment and Evaluation): 2 posts

Eligibility: Candidate should have a Masters Degree in any discipline with at least 55 per cent marks or its equivalent from a recognised University/Institute, and also have cleared NET/SLET or equivalent or have a Doctorate Degree and/or Academic work/publication. Maximum age should not be above 35 years.
Selection
1. Selection for the posts of Assistant Professor and Assistant Director or equivalent will be based on a written examination, followed by group discussion or presentation, personal interview.
2. Selection for the posts of Assistant Professor and Deputy Director or equivalent will be done on the basis of performance in interview.
3. Selection for the posts of Assistant Professor and Joint Director or equivalent will be done on the basis of performance in interview.
Note: Selection process may be changed by the Board if required.
