The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has started the application process for the CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2023. Eligible students can apply online at the CBSE website cbse.gov.in from September 19 to October 18, 2023.
The CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship is a merit-cum-means scholarship awarded to single girl children who are studying in Class 11 and 12 in a CBSE affiliated school. The scholarship is worth Rs. 500 per month for a period of two years. Payment will be made through ECS/NEFT.
Eligibility criteria the CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship
All Single Girl Students, who have secured 60% or more marks in CBSE Class 10 Examination and are studying Class 11 & 12 in CBSE affiliated School whose tuition fee is not more than Rs. 1,500/- p.m. during the academic year, shall be considered for the purpose. In the next two years, the total enhancement in tuition fee in such school shall not be more than 10% of the tuition fee charged.
NRI applicants of the Board are also eligible for the award. The tuition fee for the NRIs has been decided maximum of Rs. 6,000/- per month.
CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship: How to apply
Step 1: Visit the CBSE official website cbse.nic.in
Step 2: On the homepage, click on main website tab
Step 3: Now go to ’Latest @CBSE Section’ and click on the "Single Girl Child Scholarship X 2023" link
Step 4: On the new tab, select the type of application - fresh or renewal
Step 5: Now click on SGC-X fresh application or renewal
Step 6: Fill the application form, upload documents
Step 7: Submit the Single Girl Child Scholarship application, and download the form for future reference.
