CBSE Students of class X and XII, will now have to wait a little longer as, against its assurance to release it by December-end, the CBSE is still busy preparing it. And while the CBSE’s regional director, R J Khanderao, has assured that it will be out by January beginning, at the same time, Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) had already announced the date-sheet on December 17.
In November, the CBSE had announced the date of board examination and had said that the date-sheet would be uploaded in the last week of December.
Having received their exam date sheet, while the students of CICSE-affiliated schools have already started preparing for their board exams, the students of CBSE-affiliated schools are finding their anxiety levels shooting up. The CBSE students have been eagerly waiting for their date-sheet in order to make the most of their on-going winter vacations. "Although most of us have started preparing for the board exams, it would have been a systematic study had the date sheet been announced," said Pragati Chauhan of class XII.
"As the CBSE had announced to upload it by December-end, we were expecting the date-sheet to be uploaded before our vacations. I had skipped boards in class X, so I am more worried this time," said Varun Chaudhary, a class XII commerce student.
"Without the date sheet in hand, I am unable to decide as to which subject to prepare for first. I had planned to make a study schedule during the vacations and follow it, but it would have been easier with the date-sheet in hand. Everyone is eagerly waiting for the date-sheet to be announced," Shuchi Behl, a class XII science student.
The board examinations for CBSE-affiliated schools would begin from March 1, whereas the board exams for the CISCE’s class X and XII would begin from March 3 and February 10, respectively.
