The answer keys for All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT), which was conducted on May 4, have been published and are available on the official website of CBSE. The results are likely to be declared by the first week of June, says an official notification.
The AIPMT 2014 OMR answer sheets will be available online for five days, most likely from May 25, 2014 to May 31, 2014 before the declaration of the AIPMT 2014 results expected in the first week of June 2014. The answer key has already been released by CBSE, the convener of AIPMT and with the availability of the OMR answer sheet used during the exam, candidates will be able to track their progress ahead of the results. The facility of challenging the answer key has begun with Rs 1,000 fee per question challenged, although the fee will be refunded if the answer key challenge is accepted by the Board (Central Board of Secondary Education). There will be no option for rechecking or revaluating the answer sheets.
AIPMT 2014 was conducted on 4 May, 2014 and had around eight faulty questions - two in Chemistry and six in Biology.
Immediately after the test, many candidates had appealed that the CBSE upload answer keys so they could raise objections to the incorrect questions. The popular demand is that students must be given bonus marks for the incorrect questions.
Soon after the test, many candidates had demanded that the board upload answer keys so they could raise objections to the incorrect questions. I welcome the boards move of inviting objections well before the declaration of result and hope that the objections submitted are considered with an open mind and they would be given subsequent relief, said a local academician Arvind Goyal, who was also instrumental in getting a favorable direction on this issue from the Punjab and Haryana high court.
AIPMT is a gateway for admissions to Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)/Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) programmes is conducted by CBSE.
