Ans. Mr. Keesing was annoyed with Anne because she talked too much. In spite of giving her several warnings she continued to talk excessively. After this Mr. Keesing assigned her extra homework, to write an essay on the subject —’A Chatterbox’

The play ‘The Proposal’ is about two landowners, Chubukov and Lomov. Lomov comes to Chubukov’s house to propose marriage to the latter’s daughter, Natalya and ends up in a silly argument with them. But the moment the real intention of his proposal is revealed, everything is back to normal.

(c) We know that there is a change in the poet’s mood because he has got a change of heart which has saved some part of him which he had held in.
(d) The rhyme scheme of the fi rst stanza is : a, b, ab.
