Decius Brutus, very cleverly, gives a new twist to Calpurnia’s dream by totally misinterpreting it. He calls her dream auspicious and states that Romans bathing their hands in Caesar’s blood signifies that Rome would be greater and more powerful and Caesar’s blood would become a thing of great reverence. He then reminds Caesar that by not going to the senate house he might just lose the crown that was being offered to him. Q. 17.
