It was our privilege to invite the famous astronaut of Indian origin, Suneeta Williams under the Guest Speaker Programme on the Ist of October. She interacted with the students, giving them her impressions of India. She also enriched us by sharing with us her experience in space and how it was so much fun fl oating in the air because of weightlessness as a result of there being no gravity. She also enlightened us about how she felt as she landed on earth after fulfi lling her childhood dream. The programme concluded with a thanks giving speech by our Principal.

Ans. Deadly Driving There is no doubt that rash driving is responsible for the increase in the number of accidents in Delhi. Most of the time, it is the fault of the drivers who do not adhere to traffi c rules at all. They jump signals while over speeding and as a result hit people or other vehicles which results in fatal accidents on the road. The need of the times is to follow traffi c rules and drive carefully. Anyone found fl outing the traffi c norms should be heavily fi ned and drivers need to be thoroughly educated about the traffi c rules. Only then can we counter this ‘Deadly Driving’.

State Science Fair was organised in your city in the month of December. Write a paragraph in about 80 words describing the arrangements of the fair, the working models displayed by the students and any other activity which interested you the most.

Ans. State Science Fair was organised in our city from the 1st to the 4th of December. It was, without
a doubt, not only the most well arranged and organised fair but also most informative and
enlightening. Various students participated in this Fair and displayed their working models. The
most interesting display was a unique model of a space craft put up by the students of ABC, Model
School, Delhi. All in all it was an educative experience where the students got to learn about new
and interesting scientifi c facts.

Dearest Vicky,
We received your progress report yesterday with a special remark from your teacher that you are not taking any interest in games and other co-curricular activities.
This is indeed very unfortunate and even worse is the fact that your teacher attributes this disinterest to your sheer laziness. We are more concerned than upset about this. It is absolutely essential to take part in games and extra-curricular activities. As you are aware that a healthy mind stays in a healthy body. So you have to ensure that your body remains fit and active and to do that you have to shirk your laziness and get down to playing any sport of your choice and participating in co-curricular activities.
I hope you will take serious and immediate steps to get rid of your laziness for good. Our good wishes and blessings are always with you.
Yours Lovingly
Sonal
