GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. All questions are compulsory.
  2. Internal choices have been provided in some questions. You have to attempt only one of the choices in such questions.
  3. Question numbers 1 to 5 are very short answer questions, carrying 1 mark each. These questions are to be answered in one word or a sentence.
  4. Question numbers 6 to 12 are short answer type questions, carrying 2 marks each. Their answers may not normally exceed 40 words each.
  5. Question numbers 13 to 24 are also short answer questions, carrying three marks each. Their answers may not normally exceed 60 words each.
  6. Question numbers 25 to 27 are long answer type questions, each carrying five marks. Answers to them should not normally exceed 100 words each.
  7. Use of calculators is not permitted. However, you may use log tables, if necessary.
