Q. 4. In view of immense loss of life and property caused by the recent earthquake in northern India and Pakistan, Resident Welfare Association of Vikas Colony held a meeting to discuss various relief measures. It was decided to send money, blankets, tents, medicines etc. on an urgent basis. You are Mithun/Mallika, a newspaper re porter. You were present at the meeting. Prepare a report for your paper.

Your school celebrated ‘a green week’ in which a number of programmes including the plantation of trees, guest lectures on environment ‘nukkad nataks’ (street plays) etc. were organized. Write a report in 100-125 words for a national daily for creating awareness. You are Roshan/Rachna, Secretary, Youth Club of Your school. (10)

What status did women enjoy in ancient India? Why were they among the most backward in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries?

Or

There is a light at the end of the tunnel but only for those who see it. Discuss the relevance of this statement by taking examples from the story, ‘A Man Who Had No Eyes’.
